Are you pregnant?

Whenever you have sex, there is always a chance for pregnancy. However, we encourage you not to worry about being pregnant before you are sure. A missed period is the most common indication, but it doesn't necessarily mean you are pregnant. During pregnancy, your body goes through many changes. Though symptoms can differ from woman to woman, some common symptoms of early pregnancy include:
  • a missed period
  • nausea
  • breast tenderness
  • frequent urination
  • tiredness
  • mood swings
  • food cravings or aversions
  • headache
  • low back pain
If you think you may be pregnant, please contact us for an appointment at 407.846.9101 to take a free and confidential lab-certified pregnancy test. You will receive your results during your appointment.

Laboratory Pregnancy Testing

If you are thinking about taking a home pregnancy test or you have already had a positive home test, it is important to have a medically verified test.

Pregnancy tests check for a hormone called HCG that is produced by the embryo during pregnancy. The longer you wait to take the test, the more accurate it becomes. It is best to wait until your first missed period before you take a pregnancy test. You can test sooner, but you may need to take a confirming pregnancy test later.

The Osceola Pregnancy Center (OPC) will provide you with a free lab-certified pregnancy test. You will have the results during your appointment.

How accurate is the test?
The OPC tests are laboratory rated. They can detect the hCG pregnancy hormone as early as 7 days after conception or 21 to 24 days after the first day of your last period. The test is over 99% accurate.
